We are in the Converge Phase where as a team, now we are trying to decide on the final visualizations for our project and how we plan to implement them.
Inspiration
At this stage, we have our inspiration from various resources on figuring out the kind of visualizations that will best suit our project. Some of them are :
1. The Hello Sun App visualizes the movement of the sun and moon in numerous cities of the world. (click here for reference)
We like the interactive dashboard, and since we have a lot of weather parameters, like temperature, humidity, pressure, dew point, etc, this kind of dashboard is in our goals.
2. The Breathing Earth visualizes the greenness of the Earth over a period of time. (click here for reference)
We aim to do so, in our project, visualizing the degree of Carbon Dioxide pollution and the Road Quality on a map of Poland.
Initial Thoughts on Visualization
As part of our project, we have a collection of datasets, serving us data on different metrics. In this intermediate step, we have decided on the kinds of visualization to derive from each of the datasets.
For our project our initial thoughts on the implementation are as follows:
With the data on the file Sensorbox_Manipulated data_weather a plot of the summary of the weather of 24 hours of 17 Dec 2019, alongside (interactive) charts of the temperature, humidity, visibility and/or wind speed. The 24 hours of the day are attributed as "Mostly Cloudy", "Partly Cloudy", and "Overcast". An interesting plot of the same is on our to-do list.
The next thing, with data on the file Sensorbox_Manipulated data_Road is plotting a map of all the places the motorcycle went (parts of Poland) and alongside identify bumps and potholes (through the data on the x-axis, y-axis, z-axis, and difference in the z-axis).
